Last night I put together a mock-up of our table number luminaries. I got this idea last week from someone on The Knot (knottie GlenLakeLove). On Tuesday or Wednesday, I picked up just enough supplies to make one of them. So last night I took a little break from invitations to play around a bit with this.
Here are the photos, first one without the candle lit, and the second one all lit up.
It came out well, so this will actually be Table 3 at our wedding! The only thing I have to tweak is the candle I'm using inside. I don't like how there is a shadow line inside. Apparently, Heather (GlenLakeLove) was able to find "mini" pillar candles that didn't create such an effect. Not only that, but it illuminated the entire table number, so it looks nicer.
I'm waiting for a glassware sale to go back and buy the rest of the supplies I need. I'll be stalking the craft store ads!
I'll post instructions on how to make these in the next several weeks, once I'm done with invitations and stuff and I'm working on making the rest of these.
Oh, and I'll be selling these after the wedding. I don't think I'll have much use for 15-20 candles with table numbers on them. So if you're having an aqua wedding and you'd like these for your wedding, let me know. We return from our honeymoon on July 5, so I'll be able to ship them out after that. Very beautiful!
I love this idea. I would have never thought of such a thing. It's beautiful. : )
Some questions:
1.) Can I emboss napkins?
2.) Where is the best place to get a personalized stamp?
3.) How can I waterproof water bottle labels?
4.) Can I emboss coasters, where could I find the best deal on embossing materials?
5.) I want to do everything... what else can I do?
THANKS.
Can you put on Do IT Yourself for this beautiful Table Number and the wedding signs or banners with the monogram... I'm guessing it's just like the aisle runner, but how can I put that ribbon on the sides?

Sorry, but I don't really know the answers to any of your questions. I haven't done any of those projects. Not sure why you think I'm an expert on them!
I bought my personalized address stamp at rubberstamps.net, and I know they can make stamps out of pictures, too. So maybe that's a good place for you to check.

I will most likely be putting up DIY instructions for the table numbers eventually, but not yet. And I will not be putting up instructions for the monogram or bride banners because the directions are so similar to the aisle runner. You can attach the ribbon by sewing or using stitch witchery.
So...how do you create the beautiful illumination table-numbers??? If you don't feel like describing the step-by-step could you please post a link to your inspiration? I think they are gorgeous!
Please give us directions!!!
